As well as being a
talented artist, Rose
and Chris do much for the village of Bridgerule.
You may have noticed the list of village events
they keep updated outside the Post Office and
they are regular contributors to the
bridgerule Forum.
Please let Chris and Rose
have something for their bring and buy stall on carnival day.
They don't have room to store items for sale but if you
drop them off at the stall on carnival day they would be very
grateful.
It might be a good idea to do this - you
wouldn't want to be in Rose's next picture would you?
Chris has a special request. He says
"Rose and I like the idea of photos
of Bridgerule. Has anybody out there got any old photos of "Venner
Barn" (now Meadows Barn) which we could look at and take a copy
of please?
We have found one just before it was altered and it has a tin
roof!!! Also, any history of Meadows Barn would be gratefully
received. We know in the past that it was used by the village as
a hall when the Methodist Chapel was being built, also by the
Scouts and to hold meetings and concerts. Also, we are told tat
the blacksmith kept his horse (Polly?) in what is now our
bedroom".
